The Rotunda Foundation (formerly known as the Friends of the Rotunda) is committed to support Rotunda Research and continues to provide a sustainable funding base for projects that comply with the hospital’s research ambition.
ROTUNDA RESEARCH AMBITION:
Research excellence in human reproduction – healthier mothers, healthier babies.
The Rotunda strongly embraces the concept of conducting high quality basic and transitional research with a view to improving patient care. Research is vital in providing new knowledge and innovations that may improve health outcomes for mothers and babies. The hospital intends to build on the strength developed to date while recognising that flexibility and innovation are intrinsic to the research process. As such, the hospital does not seek to restrict individual freedom to pursue research endeavours but rather seeks to galvanise effort towards the achievement of common goals. To this end, the hospital has identified five major research themes which provide a framework for future research endeavours.
