The artist, Michael Craig presented this Limited Edition Lithograph to the Rotunda Hospital to mark it's 250th Anniversary Celebration.

Founded in 1745 by Dr Bartholomew Mosse, the purpose-built Rotunda Hospital building was designed by Richard Cassells, the famous architect of Leinster House. Mosse leased the site Hospital still stand and laid out the "New Gardens" in which, from 1750 onwards, he organised concerts by eminent contemporary european musicians in order to raise funds for the construction of his proposed new lying-in hospital. The Hospital finally opened on the 8th December 1757.
